Alex Conn of Beloit, finished runner-up in school record time at the Boys state 3A Cross-country championship held on Saturday. A total of 104 runners in the boys 3A race ran in near perfect running weather on the always challenging Rim - Rock course north of Lawrence. Conn's time was 16:15, twelve seconds back from champion Corey Donley's 16:03 winning time in the 5K race. The remainder of the top ten included:

Hett - Marion 16:45
Ratzlaff - Phillipsburg 16:45

Aspergren - Wichita Independent 17:07
In team scores, Hutch Trinity wins the title, followed by Scott Community, Norton Community, Holcomb, and Riley County finishing out the top five boys teams.
