Farmway Photo Contest Invites Kansans to Share Photos of Kansas Agriculture

Today marks the launch of Farmway Coop's "A Day in Ag" Photo Contest, which honors all things Kansas agriculture - the people and the land. To celebrate, Kansas residents are asked to share personal photos of their moments in agriculture.

"Kansans are proud to grow tomorrow's food, fiber and fuel," said Mallory Wittstruck, Farmway communications director. "As a cooperative, Farmway is proud to be part of that process and we want to celebrate our producers through pictures."
Kansans can submit up to 10 photos total within the two category photo contest: "Faces of Kansas" and "Growing Your Food."

Photos will be judged on quality, creativity and relevance to agriculture in Kansas. Farmway will utilize different segments of the cooperative's employee team and Farmway's Facebook page to judge the photos. First place in each category will receive a $100 Visa Gift card. Second place in each category will receive a $50 Visa Gift Card. The winners will be announced during October Coop Month festivities.

To enter, photos can be sent to Wittstruck's email: mwittstruck@farmwaycoop.com or delivered to the Administrative Office in Beloit. Deadline is September 13, 2013. For photo contest rules and additional information, visit www.farmwaycoop.com or contact Mallory Wittstruck at 785-738-2241.

"We encourage everyone to participate and have fun," said Wittstruck. "Good luck!"
