State Cross Country Results

The 3A state Cross-country meet was held this past Saturday at the Rim-Rock course north of Lawrence. Beloit High School's Senior Alex Conn was first to cross the finish line in front of one hundred and three other competitors to give him his first State Title. After a runner-up finish last year on the same course, Alex found himself winning the race in a time of 16:24, ten seconds ahead of 2nd place Tony Weber of Pleasant Ridge and thirty seconds faster than Wyatt Ratzlaff of Phillipsburg. Other League runners finishing in the top 25 included Chris Sandquist and Stratton Brown both of Sacred Heart. Conn finishes a remarkable season with eight, first place finishes and a second place finish in the Hesston Invitational with a 15:52, which was one of the top ten performances of the season in all classes.
