Donna Adcock, Age 96

Donna Maureen Adcock, the daughter of Hamer and Mabel (Boomer) Adcock, was born on August 7, 1918 in Davenport, Nebraska. She passed away on December 13, 2014 at the Fairport Baptist Home at Fairport, New York, at the age of 96 years, 4 months, 6 days.

Donna grew up in Nora, Nebraska and attended school in Nora graduating from Nora High School. She attended Hastings College and graduated from the State University of Iowa with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and earned her Master's degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota.

Donna served several careers, as a teacher, high school counselor in Kansas City and Connecticut, as Executive of the Nebraska State YWCA, Director of the Iowa University YWCA, and Program Executive in Kansas City, Missouri YWCA. She was initiated into Chapter BB, New York in 1986.

She had many special interests including theatre, concerts, reading, handwork, traveling, bridge and other games. Families were always very important and she cherished their pictures and stories. She was a member of the PEO and was an active member in her church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister Marquerite.

She is survived by her brother Dale Adcock and wife Charlene of Superior, Nebraska and sister Joyce Clements and husband Richard of Fairport, New York; other relatives and a host of friends.
