Jeanice Pirotte, Age 95

On February 14, 2015, Jeanice Pirotte passed away after a short illness at the wonderful age of 95 years. She was born on July 30, 1919 to Florestine (Robinson) and Ralph Smith in Pomeroy, Washington. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Peter M. Pirotte (after 42 years of marriage), her sister, Janice (Happy), and her oldest granddaughter, Danielle Farwick. Jeanice had three children with "Pete" - Michele, John (wife, Deborah), and Tom (wife, Connie), all of whom survive her and who will greatly miss her wise and loving presence in their lives. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Shannon Doehling, David Pirotte, Claire Pirotte, Peter Pirotte, and Christopher Pirotte and three great-grandchildren, Jordyn Pirotte, Irie Jenson, and Eli Doehling all of whom she cherished more than life itself. For the past 17 years up until her death, Jeanice was married to James "Jim" Fleskes. Jim, age 93, survives her. She was heard to say that she was so lucky to have loved and been married to two wonderful men in her life. Through her marriage with Jim, she embraced his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with her consummate capacity for love and they, in turn, welcomed her into their lives with open arms. Jeanice and Jim were residents of Richland, Washington. For the past 35 years, she spent winter months in Arizona. She and Jim enjoyed the warm weather at Viewpoint Golf Resort in Mesa, where she was an avid golfer into her 90's. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Mesa. Jeanice and Jim were exceptionally active in their extended families attending weddings, celebrating births, and participating in special events across the country with remarkable stamina and diligence. Her always cheerful temperament and nearly unbelievable energy level made her a most welcome and delightful participant at any gathering.

A parish rosary service will be held at 7 PM Friday at the Church, & visitation will be from 5 PM until the rosary service.
