Nora Larsen

Nora E. Larsen, 92 died March 31, 2015 at Sunset Home, Concordia. She was born November, 3 1922 to Charley E. and Penelope. T McDonough Laman in Rice, Cloud County, KS.
Nora attended rural grade school and graduated from Concordia High School in 1940. After graduation she worked in Dallas, TX for an insurance agency until 1942 when she went to Washington D.C. to work for US Government in Civil Service until 1947. Upon her return to Concordia she met Mervin J. Larsen. Nora and Mervin were married, January 7, 1948, in Concordia, KS. Nora returned to work as Secretary for Martin Methodist Church and active member of United Methodist Women for many years. Nora resided at Sunset Home for 4 yrs. Nora was a talented sewer, liked crafts, crocheted, pieced quilts, and loved to cook and bake. Family gave her many pleasures during her lifetime.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband (Mervin-2002) Sister, Margarette Little; brothers, Joseph Laman, Lawrence Laman, and John (Jack) Laman.
Survivors: Daughter, Penny Larsen and Son, Jim Larsen of Concordia; grandson, Bruce (Jennifer) Larsen, Friendswood, TX; granddaughter, Barbara (Gene) Kearn, Garden Plain. Great grandchildren: Maci and Jada Kearn, Garden Plain and Ryan Larsen, Friendswood, TX. Sisters in law: Rita Larsen and Ruby Larsen, and Corda (Stanley) McMillan, 7 nieces, 8 nephews, many great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will by Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. In case of inclement weather - the service will be held at Nutter Mortuary.
Visitation will be Friday, April 10, 2015 at Nutter Mortuary from 1-5 p.m.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Concordia First United Methodist Church.
Inurnment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia.
