Marilyn Hatesohl, Age 80

Marilyn Grace Hatesohl, age 80, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, June 18, 2015 in Concordia, KS. Marilyn was born on January 24, 1935 to Herbert and Winifred Dewees in Barnes, KS.

She attended and graduated from Greenleaf Schools in Greenleaf, KS. On May 31, 1953 Marilyn married Delton Hatesohl in Greenleaf and born to this union were four children: Jeffery A. Hatesohl, Nancy J. Holbert, Douglas E. Hatesohl and Ann L. Rodgers.
Marilyn retired from USD 333.

She was a baptized member of the Concordia Lutheran Church and continued to be active until a few months prior to her death. She enjoyed making mission quilts, preparing Sunday morning coffee, participating in many church groups and functions and making homemade quilts for family and friends. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marilyn also enjoyed many trips with her husband around the U.S. and abroad.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Delton; her children, Jeffrey Hatesohl (Renda), Nancy Holbert (Greg), Douglas Hatesohl (Dorene), all of Concordia & Ann Rodgers (Tim), Panama City Beach, FL; 8 grandchildren, Brandon Blochlinger, Jonthan Hatesohl, both of Concordia; Chandra Strait (Brian), Smith's Station, AL; Jennifer Pham (David), Manhattan; Haley and Devin Rodgers, Panama City Beach, FL; Morgan Smith (Travis), Salina & Derek Hatesohl, Kearney, NE; 6 great grandchildren, Drake and Bridgett Blochlinger; Sean and Mia Pham; Gage Strait & Traxtyn Smith; sisters, Mildred Wells (Marion), Manhattan, Carolyn Waterman, Woodburn, OR & sister-in-law, Anita Blatchley, Lincoln, NE; brother-in-law, Derald Hatesohl (Dianne), Topeka; aunt, Wilma Smith, St. Marys, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents; parents in law, Erwin and Myrtle Hatesohl; granddaughter, Courtney Hatesohl & brothers in law, Lowell Waterman and Eugene Blatchley.

The family selected cremation and Memorial services will be at 10:30 AM, Monday, June 22, 2015 at Concordia Lutheran Church with Jim Winter & Pastor David Strommen officiating. Private burial of the cremains will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. Friends may sign the register book from 1-6 PM with the family greeting friends from 5-6 PM, Sunday, June 21 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.
