Herbert Kieffer, Age 86

Herbert P. Kieffer, 86 years of age, of Denver, CO, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Amberwood Court Care Center in Denver. He was born on June 29, 1928 in Clyde to Charles and Sophia M. (Mathony) Kieffer. Herbert served his country for several years in the Army National Guard. He was an active member of the Catholic Church in Colorado. He enjoyed the rest of his time fishing and trying out the many different spots to fish in Colorado.

Herbert is survived by his brother Walfred Kieffer and wife Frieda of Wichita; sister, Rose Mary Madden of Kemp, TX; sister in law, Darlyne Kieffer of Concordia; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lawrence, Edward and Albert; five sisters, Margaret, Cecelia, Martina, Marcella and Philomena.

The family selected cremation and a burial of cremains service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Concordia with Rev. Brian Lager officiating. There will be no visitation. For online condolences, please visit www.chaputbuoy.com
