Marilyn Bertholf, Age 82

Marilyn Joan (McElderry) Bertholf, age 82, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 at her home in Smith Center. She was born December 8, 1932 in Phillips County to James and Anna (Lessburg) McElderry. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband Charles of the home; sons Steven (Anna) of Graham, NC, Rod (Leigh) of Chattanooga, TN and Kelly (Linda Martin) of Phillipsburg, KS; sister Marjorie Dichert of Brighton, CO; sister-in-law Beulah Johnson of Phillipsburg, KS; grandchildren Shane (Amanda) Bertholf of Greensboro, NC, April (Kirk) Vinson of Snow Cap, NC, Joshua Bertholf (Haley Childers) of Greensboro, NC, Jesse (Kassandra) Bertholf of North Platte, NE, Taylor (Megan) Bertholf of Chattanooga, TN, Paige Bertholf of Omaha, NE, Staci (Derek) Foreman of Kensington, KS and Ashley (Alex) Snyder of Smith Center, KS; great grandchildren Elijah Vinson, Tate and Mack Foreman, and Teagan Snyder.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with the family present, Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the mortuary.

Celebration of Life Services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Smith Center, KS.

Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Smith Center.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be given to the United Methodist Church or Hospice Services of Smith County and can be sent in care of the mortuary.
