ROXI COPLAND'S FALL TOUR MAKES A STOP IN BELOIT

Jazz/Pop Recording Artist Roxi Copland will be performing at Kettle in Beloit, Kansas as part of her Fall Tour. The artist is currently touring in support of her latest release, Truth Be Told, an album which has received widespread radio play on independent stations throughout the US and Canada. Copland's show at Kettle will take place at 5:30pm on Wednesday, September 30th. The performance is free to attend and open to the public.
In addition to the Beloit performance, Copland will be making a number of other stops on her tour, including shows in Seattle, Spokane, Des Moines, Milwaukee, Kansas City and St. Louis. A complete list of tour dates can be found at roxicopland.com.
Des Moines' Cityview raves "the undeniable fact is that Roxi Copland can sing. With the kind of ability that puts italics in your voice when you talk about it. Sing." Expect to hear jazz, pop, indie and blues influences in her original tunes. She is also rapidly gaining recognition for her imaginative arrangements, such as her interpretations of The Offspring's "The Kids Aren't Alright" & Elton John's "Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word." Copland sings and pens clever pop songs in keyboard-driven arrangements and blends multiple genres effortlessly on stage. One eloquent reviewer described her genre as "a possibly schizophrenic but absolutely brilliant concoction of jazz, pop and soul."
Copland's latest effort, ‘Truth Be Told,' (April 2014) takes her music in a slightly new direction, peppering her jazz/pop stylings with hints of roots rock and Americana. Truth Be Told is available for purchase at roxicopland.com, as well as at Itunes and all other major online music retailers. In addition to Truth Be Told, the accomplished singer/songwriter/pianist has several prior releases, including two EPs, two singles, a collaborative live album, and a solo acoustic LP to date; Streetwise (2008), Black Out the Blue (2010), Youthful Indiscretion (2010), Max & Roxi: Live at the Temple Theater (2011), Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word (2012), and Pretty Lies (2012). In addition to her own tours, Copland has opened for a number of prominent national and international acts, including Esperanza Spalding, Lindsey Stirling, Vanessa Carlton, Jason Lindner, Ivan Neville's Dumpstafunk, the Mingus Dynasty Band and the Manhattan Transfer.
