Loury Leroy Greig, 83 passed away Oct. 25, 2015 at his home in Osborne, Ks. He was born in Osborne on Oct. 17, 1932, the first of four children to Arthur & Edith (Smith) Greig.

Loury attended Twin Creek country shool and then graduated from Osborne High School in 1950. He joined the U.S. Marine Corp in 1950 serving in the Korean War. After he was honorably discharged in 1954, Loury married Doris (Hackerott) on Oct. 2, 1958. To this union were born two children: Terri & Steve.

Following graduation from Fort Hays State University with a degree in accounting, Loury took a job with Empire Oil Co. in Casper, Wyo.

He later moved to Roswell, N.M. where he was employed with the IRS. Later he became Vice-President of Llano Oil Co. in Hobbs, N.M. Loury and his friend Don Garey, former President of Llano Oil created a successful business as commercial landlords renting space in their building, Broadmore Towers. Loury retired in 2004 and returned to Osborne, Ks.

He is survived by his wife Doris of the home and his partner-in-crime/co-pilot Ollie; daughter Terri (Martin) Plowman of Osborne and son Steve of Denver, Colo.; 3 grandchildren: Amberleigh, Stephanie and Andrew Plowman; brother Robert Greig of Osborne and sister Ortha Goheen also of Osborne, Ks. Loury was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill and sister-in-law Dee and brother-in-law Chalmer Goheen.
