Nathalie Carle, Age 89

Nathalie L. Carle, age 89, formerly of Smith Center passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the Parkview Care Center in Osborne, KS. She was self-employed as a housekeeper. Nathalie was born on March 25, 1926 on a farm near Gaylord, KS to L.E. (Ern) & Lillie (Spinn) Wolf.

Despite having physical limitations most of her life, she was fiercely independent and determined to live a good life. She was blessed to be the mother of Lillie Louise Carle, who died at any early age.

Tollie, as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, was employed as a housekeeper to several families and businesses in Smith Center. She took great pride in her work, walking from her home in east Smith Center to do her work each day.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Lillie Carle; sisters Ruth Post, Marian Freeman and baby sister Lillie Wolf; brothers Robert Wolf, baby Ernest Wolf, Raymond Blomfield & baby Albert Wolf.

Left to celebrate Tollie's life are sister Edna Maley of Dodge City; cousin Katherine Loofbourrow; nieces Carolyn Williams, Marcia Winder, Joyce Rumbaugh, Judy Schmalz, Margaret Beckman, Marilyn Gentry, Mary Arment, Pat Blomfield Brown & Sally Blomfield; a nephew Johnnie Post, as well as extended family and friends.

Celebration of life services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Simmons-Rentschler Mortuary with Pastor Randy Hill officiating.

Burial will follow in the Gaylord Cemetery, Gaylord, KS.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Gaylord Community Church and/or Parkview Care Center in Osborne, KS, where she was lovingly cared for over the past three years.
