Leo LeRoy Regnier, age 78, of Concordia, KS., died January 26, 2016 at the Republic County Hospital. He was born March 1, 1937 at Aurora, KS., to Leo H. and Hazel N. (Carson) Regnier.

Leo married Loretta Francis McCollough November 9, 1957 in Beloit, KS. They made a loving home in Concordia. He worked for Boogarts Warehouse and Cloud County Sheriff Dept; also a guard at the missile base. Leo also served in the U.S. Navy and also the Kansas National Guard.

LeRoy coached the infamous Moose baseball team to countless victories and going on to coach Pewee and American Legion baseball. Everything from hunting and fishing to softball and horseshoes. All of these activities included his wife - Fran and/or his four sons - Randy, Ronnie, Scott & Mike. A great part of his life, included LeRoy's World Famous Peanut Brittle. A favorite memory included Leo and Loretta when they would roller skate.

Leo was the grandpa every kid wished they had. He was always coming up with new ideas for toys and games - either invented on paper or toys made in his wood shop. All the cousins would flock around Uncle LeRoy.

He is survived by:

Randy (Joni) - McPherson, KS

Ronnie (friend Tina) - Linwood, KS

Scott (friend Sharon) - Concordia, KS

Michael - Concordia, KS

Grandchildren: Ryan, Paige, Nathan, Neil, Devon, Kalyn, Clarissa & Mekel.

Great grandchildren: Zane, Morris, Emma Regnier; Braden and Payton Regnier and Iris Regnier. Kiana Champlin & Kaziah Regnier.

Sister: Joan McCullough

Preceded in death by: Wife and parents, and sister Jacqueline Thoman.

The family has chosen cremation. Private inurnment.

Memorial Gathering will be Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Nutter Mortuary Chapel from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Memorials to LeRoy Regnier Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date.
