Thomas Arthur Davis, 59, passed away on February 3rd, 2016 at Hays Medical Center, after a long battle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe "Earnest Jody" and Esther Davis, brother, Robert "Bobby" Davis.

Tom is survived by children Jessica, Bobby, Angellia, Chris, brother, Richard and family of Watonga, OK , a very special friend and care-taker, Heather Wade of Hays Kansas, and a host of relatives and friends.

Tom was born April 16th, 1956 in Smith Center, Kansas. He left high school in 1975, and soon received his GED. After a short time in the Army, Tom was medically discharged due to complications of polio he contracted as an infant. He spent most of his adult life living in the Colby and Hays areas. Tom worked mostly as a truck driver and farm laborer until he became disabled due to health reasons.

Tom enjoyed the outdoors, old cars, motorcycles, classic rock music, and spending time with friends.

On Saturday February, 13th friends and family are invited to attend a gathering and celebration of life to be held at the Vineyard Room in Smith Center from noon until departing for graveside services scheduled for 2:00 pm at the Pleasant View (Myers) Cemetery near Athol, Kansas under the direction of Simmons Rentschler Mortuary of Smith Center, Kansas.

There will be no visitation as cremation was chosen.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the mortuary. Proceeds will be sent to the American Cancer Society in Tom's name.
