Beloit took a pair from Ellsworth on a cool Thursday night in Ellsworth.

In game 1- Luke Hesting threw a complete game shut out. Hesting allowed no runs on two hits, struck out 2, and walked 4. The game was completed after 5innings by the ten rule rule. At the plate Beloit hit well with as they banged out 13 hits on 29 plate appearances. Noah Smith was 3 for 4, Luke Hesting, Caydren Cox, and Noah Marozas each went 2-3. Michael Peters returning from injury went 2-4 and had 4 RBI’S.

 

In game 2- Noah Smith threw all 7 innings to get the win. Smith gave up 5 runs on 4 hits, struck out 8, and walked 2. No loss for hitting for the Trojans in game 2 as they came away with 12 hits. Noah Smith continued his hot bat going 3-3 and drawing 2 intentional walks. Caydren Cox followed suit going 3-5 with 4 RBI’S. Noah Marozas went 2-5 and drove in 2 runs.

 

Next up for the Trojans will be another NCAA league opponent in Minneapolis. They will be in Beloit on Tuesday, April 5th to play a doubleheader beginning at 4:00 pm.

 

The Beloit Junior Varsity will be in action tomorrow, Friday April 1st at 4:00 pm as they host Concordia in the first games for the Beloit High Junior Varsity.
