Beloit swept a home field double header from Minneapolis on Tuesday. Beloit completed both wins by games shortened to 3 innings by the 15 run rule

Luke Hesting won game 1 for the Trojans throwing the three inning affair giving up one run on 1 hit while walking 1 and striking out 1. Hesting is now 2-1 on the season.

The Trojans got to Minneapolis pitching early and often scoring 17 runs on 13 hits. Noah Marozas went 3-3. Luke Hesting and Jared Mosher each went 2-2, and Noah Smith comes up with the first Beloit home run of the season with a blast to straight away center in the 2nd inning.

 

In game 2 Noah Smith was the winning pitcher. Smith threw the 3 innings giving up 2 runs on 2 hits while walking 2 and striking out 6. The bats continued to ring out in the 2nd game for the Trojans as they came up with 11 hits. Nick Meier, Colson Riemann, and Michael Peters each came up perfect at the plate. Noah Marozas capped off a very good night going 3-4 and driving in 5 Beloit runs.

 

Beloit is now 4-4 on the season, and holds a 4-0 mark in NCAA league play. The Trojans will next be in action on Thursday as they travel to play Lincoln/Sylvan in a non league doubleheader being played in Lincoln starting at 4:00.
