Dale R. Ryser, age 78, entered into rest on Monday, April 18, 2016 at the Cloud County Health Center, in Concordia. He was born on April 4, 1938 in Haddam, Kansas to Edward and Ruth Ryser.

He graduated grade school from District #59 in Ames and Clyde High School in 1956. He then served in the USMC from 1956 - 1959 and three years in the reserves. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant.  He married Faye Ellen Kagle Kenyon on July 25, 1969 in Fairbury, NE. She preceded him in death after nearly 34 years of marriage on July 20, 2003. He drove for Abram Ready Mix in Concordia and retired as a Plant Manager after 43 years of service and was a member of the Concordia Moose Lodge#1428 where he served as past governor.

Dale was an avid outdoorsman and spent many hours with family and friends fishing, hunting, teaching general shenanigans and fishing tips to the grandkids. He was known in some circles as the Deerslayer for his crack shot ability, and enjoyed celebrating the holidays with family gatherings where friends and family alike hoped he and grandma refrained from singing after a few rounds due to their uncanny ability to resemble the sound of a cat with its tail caught in a fan motor. He liked to take the grandkids to the West Side Inn for pancakes in the morning on weekdays and a Shirley Temple at the Moose Lodge on Saturdays and was always ready to tell you "okay" after grandma said "no". Dale also enjoyed building models, small engines to enter in the Cloud County Fair and woodworking, resulting in many beautiful pieces like toy boxes, grandfather clocks, musket rifles, potato guns and rubber band shooters still in use by loved ones today.

Dale is survived by a daughter, Leanna Nolan, Lake Oswego, OR.; son Bradley Kenyon, Boise, ID.; brother, Mark Ryser, Tacoma, WA; 4 sisters, Linda Hammans (John), Augusta, KS.; Kay Friend (Buck), Clay Center, NE.; Melody Hanchett (Leland), Phillipsburg, KS.; Lisa Koch, Lawrence, KS.; sister-in-law, Donna Ryser Pierce (Bob), Clyde, KS.; sister-in-law, Jane Ryser, Clyde, KS.; brother-in-law, Darrel Conn, Asherville, KS.; 10 grandchildren: Wendy, David, Stephanie, Christina, Aaron, Alex, Mandy, Jenny, Chantz and Erica. 15 great-grandchildren: Tristan, Lawson, Isabelle, Kaitlin, Jace, Jiselle, Kael, Elijah, Josiah, Alexis, Zoie, Draven, Corra, Hunter, Lillian, Jessica and Brianna, and 2 great-great grandchildren, Emmaline and Alessa, his good friends; Charlie and Paul Blochlinger, Ronnie Joyner, Mary Beth, Alice and John Brownell, Darrell Conn, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye, a daughter, Dina Luecke, and son, Guy Kenyon, his parents, two brothers, Wendell and Ted, two sisters, Rita Conn and Karla Cauley and dear friend Elmer Sicard.

Military rites will be conducted by United States Marine Corp. and the Local American Legion Post #76 and VFW Post #588.
