BELOIT TRACK TEAMS COMPETE AT PHILLIPSBURG RELAYS FRIDAY APRIL 22ND

 

Phillipsburg Invitational Track Meet

The Trojan track teams traveled to Phillipsburg for the Phillipsburg Invitational track meet held on Friday, April 22. This meet saw the Trojans run up against some very tough competition from the likes of Phillipsburg, Norton, Smith Center, Concordia, TMP, and Russell.

The Trojan boy’s brought home a total of 30 medals (11 gold, 8 silver, 3 bronze, and 8—4th) and won the meet with 149 points. Norton was second with 148 points and Smith Center was third with 90 points.

The gold medal winners for Beloit were Colson Reames in the 400m dash in 51.97, Ryan Jackson in the 800m run in 2:07.76, Colin Budke in the long jump at 20’7.5”, the 4X400m relay team of Zach Meier, Anthony Nunez, Brendon Mason, and Colson Reames in 3:33.62, and the 4X800m relay team of Blaine Burks, Ryan Jackson, Brendon Mason and Anthony Nunez in 8:46.33.

The silver medal winners were Zach Meier in the 400m dash in 52.77, Blaine Burks in the 800m run in 2:10.73, Tristen Brummer in the 1600m run in 5:05.31, Logan Mong in the triple jump at 39’8.75”, and the 4X100m relay team of Zach Meier, Colin Budke, Ryan Jackson, and Colson Reames in 44.82.

The bronze medal winners were Tristen Brummer in the 800m run in 2:11.43, Anthony Nunez in the 1600m run in 5:09.02, Collin Rose in the discus at 123’1”

The fourth place medal winners were Colson Reames in the 200m dash in 23.6, Brendon Mason in the 1600m run in 5:12.29, Jace Adams in the 110m high hurdles in 16.93 and the 300m hurdles in 43.22, Colin Budke in the high jump at 5’10”, Blayne Harris in the pole vault at 11’6”, Colin Chandler in the shot put at 40’2”, and Blaine Burks in the discus at 121’5”

The Lady Trojans brought home a total of 25 medals (7 gold, 3 silver, 8 bronze, and 7—4th) and won the meet scoring a total of 129.5 points. Hays-TMP was second with 93 points and Concordia was third with 88 points.

Gold medal winners for Beloit were Remi Behrends in the high jump at 5’0”, triple jump at 34.’6.25”, and 100m dash in 13.16, and the 4X100m relay team of Karissa Winkel, Remi Behrends, Alexis Budke, and Alana Budke in 50.72.

The silver medal winners were Alana Budke in the 100m dash in 13.35, Alexis Budke in the 200m dash in 28.05, and Ocean Paul in the pole vault at 10’0.

The bronze medal winners were Trinity Wagner in the 400m dash in 1:03.21, Kalista Hubert in the 800m run in 2:43.54, Blaise Spangler in the pole vault at 9’6”, Alana Budke in the long jump at 15’8”, and the 4X400m relay team of Alana Budke, Janica Pearce, Paige Hafliger, and Trinity Wagner in 4:17.71.

The fourth medal winners were Patience Dickerman in the 200m dash in 28.57, Michaela Pingel in the 1600m run in 6:26.7, MacKenzie VanPelt in the pole vault at 9’0”, and the 4X800m relay team of Erin Kelley, Michaela Pingel, Kalista Hubert, and Autumn Vowinckel in 11:24.08.

 

The next action for the Beloit Trojan varsity track teams will be the 76th annual Beloit Relays on Friday, April 29. Field events will start at 10:00am, preliminaries at 11:00am followed by the 3200m run and the running event finals.
