Beloit, KS, May 23 -Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems was recently ranked the 11th cleanest
hospital in the nation by Hospital Consumer Assessment of Health Plans Survey scores compiled from
April 2014-March 2015.
"This recognition is credit to the work of our environmental services department, nurses, and other staff
who work very hard to keep our facility spotless," said Jeremy Armstrong, MCHHS Chief Executive
Officer.
MCHHS earned this ranking comparatively to a list of hospitals for which 89 percent or more of patients
reported on their HCAHPS surveys that their room and bathroom were "always" clean. The national
average rate for patients reporting their room and bathroom "always" clean is 74 percent. MCHHS earned
92% of survey participants reporting their room and bathroom was "always" clean.
"I would like to personally thank every staff member that helped achieve this ranking. It takes a team
effort and our staff at MCHHS does an extraordinary job," said Armstrong. "I would also like to thank Kelly
Schmidt, Environmental Services Department Manager for your commitment and leadership."
