Wade Cross, Age 59

Wade W. Cross was born March 14, 1957 to Ray and Irene Beeson Cross at Dodge City, Kansas. He departed this life of 59 years Sunday evening, June 19, 2016 from a motorcycle accident about 18 miles southwest of Beloit, Kansas.

Wade spent his early years in Dodge City. He graduated from Dodge City High School.

At a very early age, Wade became very proficient in working on virtually anything with a motor. As time went on, he became very passionate about motorcycle riding, especially on a Harley.

On April 9, 1988, he married Rita Windholz at Great Bend, Kansas. They later moved to Jamestown, Kansas. Wade utilized his mechanical skills and was a welder at ARVOS in Concordia, Kansas for 20 years.

Wade loved the great outdoors, but his true passions were spending time with his family and motorcycling. He was an ardent member and past vice-president of the Free Tomorrow MC. He was always looking forward to his next ride.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Jason Cross.

Wade will be deeply missed by his wife Rita of the home; sons Payton Cross and Dylan Cross and wife Ashley, all of Shelter Cove, California; one step daughter Shannon Hotchkiss and husband Pat of Shelter Cove; two step sons Garth Baugh and wife Mary of Eureka, California, Caleb Baugh and wife Amy of Abilene, Kansas; one brother Mark Cross and wife Bev of Great Bend, Kansas; one sister Jan Holiday and husband David of Dodge City, Kansas; eleven grandchildren Kynan, Bailey, Makinna. Ava, Hadley, Collin, Sabrina, Quade, Zane, Olivia and Emma; a host of nieces and nephews along with many relatives and friends.

Cremation will take place and the burial of his ashes will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 27, 2016 in the Jamestown Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Grandchildren Education Fund.

There will be no visitation.
