Florence "Jean" Taylor, age 80, entered into rest on September 16, 2016, at the Salina Regional Health Center. She was born Miltonvale, Kansas to Andrew J. and Minnie E. (Smith) Hoard. Jean grew up in the Jewell county community. She married RayDean Tate on Feb. 14, 1953 in Mankato, Kansas. He preceded her in death. She later married George Warren Taylor, Aug. 27, 1965 in Concordia, Kansas, He also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and later in life she worked for several Cafe's in the area. She was member of the American Legion Women's Aux. Post #76, Past Moose Lodge Member both of Concordia and VFW Women's Aux., Clyde. Her hobbies included playing bingo, cards, embroidering and most of all spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.

Survivors: She is survived by her 6 children, Randy Tate, McPherson; Willie Taylor (Deb), Concordia; LaDawn Avis, Concordia; Brenda Marcotte, Concordia; Dedra Landon (Ken), Bartlesville, OK.; Max Tate (Donna), Concordia; 2 brothers, Floyd Hoard, Denver, CO.; Andrew Hoard, Jr., Smith Center; 2 sisters, Bertha Mae Howell, Greeley, CO.; Evelyn Rafferty, Bonner Springs, KS.; 23 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 1 great-greatgrandchild.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, RayDean Tate and George Warren Taylor, 2 sons, Curtis Eugene Tate and Thomas A. Taylor, a grandson, Nathan L. Tate, 4 brothers and 5 sisters.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the Miltonvale Wesleyan Church with Pastor Ron Olson, officiating. Burial will follow in the Miltonvale City Cemetery.
