Robert Mason, Age 78

Robert "Bob" A. Mason was born November 20th, 1937 in Rooks County to Charles Francis & Mildred (Camp) Mason. He left us peacefully at 4:45 p.m., Saturday October 1, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.

Bob attended school in Stockton, KS. He was active in FFA, school plays & other activities. Upon graduation, he joined the United States Air Force. After a 4 year tour, he was honorably discharged. He did some traveling. On a trip to Phoenix, Arizona, he met Doris Loveless. After a brief courtship, they were married on Wednesday, August 4, 1961. Bob's first love was farming, but he owned & operated several businesses through out his life including a custom harvesting business, fabric shops & a sewing machine business, along with a tavern. After retiring, both Bob & Doris enjoyed weekend get aways to gamble in Casinos.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marvel Yoxall and a granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife, Doris of the home: daughter, Christine Williams of Downs, KS: sons, Alan D. (Elizabeth) of Salina, KS; Robert A. (Kathy) of Glasco, KS: 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild: brother, Don of Oklahoma City, OK: sister Kay Riffel of Stockton, KS.
