Eugene Fisher, Age 92

Eugene E. Fisher, 92, Belleville, KS, the son of Frank Fisher and Beulah (Kopsa) Fisher, was born November 30, 1923 in rural Cuba, KS and passed away on October 22, 2016 at the Republic County-Long Term Care, Belleville, KS. He was co-owner of Stone Construction, Belleville, KS, working for the company for over 40 years. On April 20, 1950, he was united in marriage to Melva J. Jakabosky. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Melva on October 15, 2004, son, Gary on November 29, 2015, and one brother, Vernon L. Fisher.

Eugene is survived by his son, Guy (Vickie) Fisher of Atlantic, Iowa; two grandsons, Matthew Fisher of Des Moines, Iowa and Daniel (Selma) Fisher of Sutton, England; one great granddaughter, Alexandra Fisher; one sister, Irene Richecky Saip of Enterprise, KS; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Friday, October 28, 2016 at the Bachelor-Surber Memorial Chapel, with Reverends Guy and Vickie Fisher, officiating. Interment will be at the National Bohemian (Kopsa) Cemetery, rural Cuba, KS. Friends may call from 1 PM until 9 PM on Wednesday and from 9 AM until 9 PM on Thursday at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS where the family will greet friends 6 PM until 8 PM Thursday.
