Goldie Anita Umbach, the daughter of Richard and Laura (Royer) Booker, was born on December 8, 1919 in North Branch, Kansas. She passed away on November 30, 2016 at her residence in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 96 years, 11 months, 22 days.

Goldie was one of 13 siblings, growing up she attended school at District 37 and also Guide Rock until 1935. She went to live with her brother in Streator Illinois and graduated from High School there in 1937. Upon graduating she received her teacher certificate from the University of Nebraska Teachers College and started her career in teaching in 1943. She taught for 21 years retiring in 1964. She lived in many different places in 1953, she moved to Superior where she spent the rest of her life.

On August 7, 1960 she was united in marriage to George Umbach at Guide Rock, Nebraska. Goldie enjoyed being with her husband and going to rock shows. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband George October 8, 1996; brothers Harry, Vaughn, Orville, Marvin, Loren Harold and Paul Booker and sisters Sarah Seeba, Vida Rehtus, Nellie Booker, Alice Bangert and Viola Gerloff.

She is survived by many nephews, nieces, other relatives and a host of friends.
