Roy Melvin Ferguson, 82, of Kensington, KS, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Smith Center Health and Rehab. He was born at the Ferguson Home place, north of Kensington where he lived most of his life farming and raising a family.

Roy was a very passionate man who loved farming. He worked as the owner of Ferguson ZY Farms, Inc. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing cards and being around with his grandchildren.

He served in the National Guard from 1959 to 1964. Roy married the love of his life Helen Bohm Ferguson. He was a very loving devoted husband helping his wife struggle with depression and ALS through the last years of her life. They had 3 children Kerry, Connie, and Steven.
Surviving are Kerry and wife Desiree with 5 children Joseph, Jonathan, Joshua, Jasmine, and Jeweliana. Connie and husband Mike McNab with 2 children, Matthew and Mary Lou. Steven and wife Nancy with 4 children Mark, Paul, Michael, and Daniel. A special friend/cousin Mary King.

He is preceded in death by parents Glenn and Erna Ferguson. Wife, Helen Bohm Ferguson. Brothers, Raymond and Larry, and Grandson James McNab.
