Cullen Grabast, Osborne, is a 2017 graduate of Osborne High School and plans to attend McPherson College, play football and run track and study Physical Therapy. Football stats and accomplishments include: 3,836 rushing yards, 70 TD's; 1,242 receiving yards, 21 TD's; 365 passing yards, 9 TD's; 12 interceptions, 191 tackles, longest TD run 79 yards. He has been named athlete of the week by NCKS Sports twice individually and as a member of the Bulldog team 4 times. In 2013 and 2016 he was a member of the 1A 8 Man I undefeated Bi-District, Regional, Substate and State Championship Team. In 2014 he was KPREPS District 4 Honorable Mention Back, 1st team return specialist member of 1A Division I Bi-District ad Regional Championship team. In 2015 Wichita Eagle and Topeka Capital honorable Mention RB; KPREPS District 4 1st team RB; 2016 Topeka Capital and Wichita Eagle 1st team Defensive Back; Honorable Mention Running Back and KPREPS 8 Man Division I Offensive Player of the Year, KPREPS 8 Man-1 All State Team, District 4 First Team Offense and Defense, Hays Daily All Area Super 11 and a member of the West team for the 2017 Shrine Bowl. He is also a finalist in the KPREPS Dylan Meier "Get Busy Living" player of the year. Honors and accomplishments in other sports include: Basketball: 2016 NPL 1st team; State Tournament 1st team; The Eagle's 1st team; Sports in Kansas 1st team; 2017 Topeka Capital Players to Watch. Track: 2016 Lincoln Invitational Male athlete of the meet; State Placings: 2014: 8th place 800 meter, 3rd place 4x100 relay; 2015: 4th place 800 meter, 7th place 4x100 relay, 4th place 4x400 relay; 2016: 3rd place 400 meter, 2nd place 800 meter, 4th place 4x400 relay, 8th place 4x800 relay. Cullen has been a member of the Sunflower 4-H Club for 10 years. He has held various offices including vice-president and Osborne County Extension Council Representative. He has mentored younger members as a junior leader. Cullen is a member of the Grace Brethren Church and has participated in the church youth group, helped with the Christmas program and has volunteered in the church nursery. He has been a member of KAYS and served on the board for two years. He is a volunteer in the Little Friends program for four years and has helped with the trick or treat for cancer for four years. Cullen is the Osborne High Student Council treasurer, he was the homecoming king, and a member of FCCLA this year he is working as a teacher aide for the 1st grade physical education class. He is a member of the National Honor Society and has been on the high honor roll every semester. Cullen has volunteered for several community service projects including Wednesday After Class library program, the summer reading program and replacing wood chips in the play area at the city park. He has received the Principal's Academic Letter of Recognition for 3 years, placed at the FHSU Relays for 3 years in 11 events and has been a member of the National Honor Society for 3 years.
Cullen's parents are Blake and Kathy Grabast, Osborne.
