Tate Becker, Herington, has been selected for the Division I East Squad. He is a 2017 graduate of Herington High School and plans to attend Fort Hays State University and play football. Football statistics and accomplishments include: 442 career tackles. 2013: All District Honorable Mention Linebacker; 2014: All District 1st Team Linebacker, Flint Hills League Honorable Mention; 2015: All District Linebacker 1st team, Flint Hills League Honorable Mention Linebacker; 2016: K-Preps All State, Wheat State League 1st Team. Herington was 2016 Wheat State League Co-Champions in football. Accomplishments in other sports include 2016 State Qualifier in the Discus and a 5 sport letterman in high school. Activities and honors outside school include: Church Sound & Video Technician, Lutheran Youth Organization member and 4-H member. Hobbies and interests include hunting, fishing, showing cattle, welding/fabrication in home shop. Activities and honors in school include: Football, Basketball, Wrestling, Track, Baseball, FFA, FBLA, FCCLA, 2015 FFA Star Chapter Farmer, 2015 Herington High Shop Student of the Year.
