Luke Ikerd, E2 - #15

Luke Ikerd, Emporia, has been selected for the Division II East squad. He is a 2017 graduate of Hartford High School and plans to attend Kansas State University and major in Electrical Engineering. Football statistics and accomplishments include: 2015: LCL Defense Honorable Mention; 2016: LCL 1st Team Defensive Back, 2nd Team End, All Grasslands 1st Team Defensive Back, Wichita Eagle Honorable Mention Defensive Back, Topeka Capital Journal Honorable Mention Defensive Back, All Area 2nd Team, Kansas Top 100 Seniors Honorable Mention. Hartford was Bi-District Runner-up in 2015, District 2 Champions, Regional Runner-Up and Bi-District Champion in 2016. Honors and accomplishments in other sports include: Basketball - lettered 4 years, went to state 3 years, placed 2nd at state in 2015-2016; Golf - 2 years, State 2015-16, placed 16th; Cross Country - 2 years, LCL Team 2014-2015. Activities and honors outside school include: Rinker 4-H Lyon County, 12 years, Lyon Co. 4-H Ambassador 3 years, 4-H Council Representative 4 years, 4-H Council Treasurer 2014-2015, Exchange Trip to Michigan, "I Dare You" Award 2015, Key Award 2016, Projects: Leathercrafts 8 years, Foods & Nutrition 9 years, Shooting Sports 12 years, Meat Goat 11 years, Swine 10 years, Leadership 5 years, Electrical 1 year, Bucket Calf 4 years. Club won Herdsmanship Award in 2011 and 2016. Luke enjoys hunting, fishing, bike riding-Dirty Kanza 100 mile finisher 2016.
