Rosalee Ann (Peters) Schwerman was born November 10, 1929 to Nick and Rose (Marchand) Peters in rural Jewell KS. She walked one mile to Prairie Flower School for grades first through eighth. She graduated from St. John's High School in 1948. She then graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing in Concordia in May 1951. She was among the last class to graduate from this school, as the name then changed to Marymount School of Nursing. She worked at the Beloit Community Hospital after graduation until beginning a family. She married Francis James Schwerman November13, 1951. To this union they had five children. Their first home was on a farm south of Asherville. In May of 1956 they moved to Parris MO until Thanksgiving Day 1965. They then moved to the farm house she was raised in and still lived in, in Jewell county. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her hobbies included making rosaries, sewing, quilting, crocheting, and collecting stamps. She most enjoyed tending to her garden and flowers, and mowing her lawn. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Ladies Guild, and St. John's Choir.

Rosalee was preceded in death by husband Francis Schwerman; parents Nick and Rose Peters; sisters Florence Zimmer, Marie Jeanneret, and Loretta Hurley; Brother Nicholas Peters; brother-in-law's Nobert, Clarence , and Robert Schwerman; sister-in-laws Betty Schwerman, Stella Baird, Ruth Schwerman, and Mary Schwerman.

She is survived by her children James Schwerman, Randall; Ann (Rod) Albert, Beloit; Thomas (Norma) Schwerman, Jewell; John Schwerman, Beloit; Tresa (Jim) Kelly, Beloit; sisters Joan (Don) Goodeyon, Beloit, Clara Maas, Portland OR; sister-in-law Lucy Peters, Jewell; grandchildren Sarah Schwerman, Whicita; Dustin Koster, Hays; Jerry (Shanna) Koster, Hays; Arin (Heath) Arnoldy, Glen Elder; Ami Albert, Manhattan; Rachel (Joe) Fath, Wamego; Ryan (Amanda) Schwerman, Beloit; Lisa (Perry) Colson, Jewell; Logan Schwerman, Jewell; Rosann (Pat) Wilson, Hutchinson; Sylvia (Barry) Schoen, Beloit; and 20 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Schoen Funeral Home and Monuments Thursday November 16th from 1-5 p.m. A Vigil service will follow at 6:30 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday November 17th. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Solomon Valley Hospice or St. John's Choir.
