Duane File, Age 72

Duane L. File, age 72, entered into rest on Thursday, November 23, 2017, at Mt. Joseph Senior Village in Concordia, Kansas. He was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on January 30, 1945 to Kenneth E. and Ruth C. (Cooper) File. Duane was a 1964 graduate of Republic High School. He also went on and was a graduate from Manhattan Area Vo-Tech School in Welding, NCKAVTS Beloit in Automotive. Duane married Mary Garton on October 2, 1972 in Mankato, Kansas. They were united in marriage for 45 years. He was owner operator of Duane's Welding and Blacksmithing in Deshler, Nebraska. He also owned his own Taxidermy business in Courtland, Kansas for many years. Duane attended the United Methodist Church in Beloit, Kansas. He enjoyed woodworking and hunting.

He is survived by his wife Mary, Concordia, KS.; a daughter, Marna Kae Fink (Brian), Beloit, KS.; son, Eugene Loy File, Texas City, TX.; daughter, Marjie Sparks, Berryville, AR.; 2 brothers, Richard and Austin Allan of Lincoln, NE.; 11 grandchildren and 3 Great Granddaughters.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents, several aunts and uncles.

Cremation has taken place a memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia, Kansas, with Pastor Bob Burns officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to Duane L.
