Ajay Manher Patel, 44

Ajay Manher Patel, 44, of Belleville, Kansas passed away on March 16, 2019.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., March 20, 2019 at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, 1322 19th Street, Belleville, Kansas 66935.
Cremation will follow the funeral at the Crematory in Salina, Kansas.
Ajay was born at Bharti Rana Hospital in Bardoli, Gujarat, India on September 6, 1974. He graduated from Scranton High School in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 1992 and continued on completing 3 years of college at the Pennsylvania State University in the years following 1992.
Ajay was married to Rina Patel on January 22, 2005. They were married over 14 years.
Ajay worked many jobs over the years and was well-liked by each and every one of his co-workers. He was a very likeable and friendly person to be around. He knew how to carry on a fun and interesting conversation with anyone. His great personality is what everyone liked most about him.
In 2016, Ajay left Scranton, Pennsylvania and moved to Belleville, Kansas with his wife and two children, Rachel and Om, to start a business and give his family more opportunities to learn, grow, and be surrounded by family and friends.
Ajay loved sports. He loved playing sports, watching sports, and knowing every sports statistic about every athlete. He was always the most athletic football and baseball player on the playground at John J. Audubon Elementary School and East Scranton Junior High School in the 1980's, just like his son Om is now. He was also very clever like his daughter Rachel is now.
Ajay is survived by his two children Rachel Ajay Patel and Om Ajay Patel, his wife Rina Ajay Patel, his parents Manherbhai Patel and Bhagavatiben Patel, his brother Manish Patel, his nieces and nephews, and the rest of his family and friends.
No visitation is planned. Friends may sign the register book prior to the services on Wednesday.
