Area schools had an excellent opportunity to run yesterday as Beloit hosted their own cross-country Invitational at the Country Club. Ideal weather met over 230 runners from 19 schools in the four races that were ran.
In the Girls Varsity race: Total of 63 runners.
Michaela Pingel led the way for the lady Trojans with a 28th place finish running the 4K course in 19:14
Savanna Cox was 32nd in a time of 19:28.
In the Girls Junior-Varsity race: top ten medaling out of the 24 competing
Madison Wolfe was a 5th place medalist with a time of 19:23 and teammate Erin Kelley was a 7th place medalist in 20:05.
Molly Divel was 22nd in 25:37.
In the Boys Varsity race: Total of 82 participants
Alex Conn earned a second place medal in a time of 16:55.
Trent Allen finished 35th in 19:26
Isaac Hesting was 54th in 20:54
Christian Daniels was 61st with a time of 21:14
Boys Junior-Varsity race: Total of 42 runners. with the top ten medaling.
Anthony Nunez was the 4th place medalist in 20:23
Dustin Williams was 18th in 22:25
