Norma E. Johnson

Norma Elaine Johnson, the daughter of Floyd Ross and Hazel (Libhart) Ross, was born January 14, 1935 at rural Formoso, KS and passed away on October 11, 2012 at the Jewell County Hospital at the age of 77 years, 8 months, and 27 days.
Norma grew up on the family farm at rural Formoso and attended local schools, graduating from Formoso High School. On August 2, 1953, she was united in marriage to Donald C. Johnson and to the union was born: Jerry Don Johnson, Tony Allen Johnson, Deanna Lynn Johnson.
Norma worked at the Mankato Livestock Commission Company, Mankato, KS for many years. She was also a homemaker. The couple made their home at rural Formoso for many years, moving to Mankato in 2004.
Norma was preceded in death by her son Jerry Don Johnson in 1974, and three brothers: Herbert F. Ross, Howard A. Ross, and Ray "Dale" Ross.
She is survived by her husband, Don C. Johnson of Mankato, KS, one son Tony A. (Catherine) Johnson of Smithfield, VA; one daughter, Deanna L. (Mitchell) Snell of Concordia, KS; 8 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Eleven AM, Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at the
Formoso Community Church, with Pastor Gene Little, officiating.
Interment will be at the Balch Cemetery, rural Formoso.
Visitation will be from 9AM-9PM on Saturday and from 1PM until 9PM on Sunday at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS.
Memorials are suggested to the Formoso Community Church.
