Richard Lee Bose

Richard Lee Bose, 60, passed away at his home in Gaylord, KS on Thursday, December 6, 2012.

He was born December 30, 1951 in Smith Center, the son of Melvin John and Verna Irene (Suchland) Bose. On June 3, 2002 he married Julie Rose in Phillipsburg, KS.

Richard loved his Lord and reading his bible, he was especially proud of all his family, wife, kids and grandkids. Richard had many passions in life that he enjoyed such as hunting, fishing, being outdoors, horseback riding, being an auctioneer, going to the river to fish, his German Sheppard dogs, rodeo's, farming, playing the lottery for over 30 years, collecting stamps and antiques. Richard's family said he was prankster and loved playing jokes on family and friends. He was a member of the Harlan Church, Harlan, KS.

Survivors in include his wife Julie of Gaylord; five sons, Ricky Lee Bose, Melvin Lawrence Bose and wife Jodie all of Denver, CO, Richard Marron "Butch" Bose Jr. and significant other Darcy of Phillipsburg, Cody Michael and Mathew Lee Bose both of Gaylord; three daughters, Misty Lee Thompson and husband Shane of Beloit, Melissa Ann Rose and husband Mike of Omaha, NE, Christina Irene Bose of Gaylord; two sisters, Karla Thompson and husband Karl, Connie Wilson and husband Richard all of McPherson, KS; eight grandchildren, Brandon, Corey, Joshua and Samantha Bose all of Denver, CO, Heather, Haley and Tristan Thompson all of Beloit and Tyson Bose of Phillipsburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Richard's life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 10, 2012 at the All Faiths Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Karg officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday 1pm - 8pm. and Monday 8am until service time at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Cedar Cemetery, Cedar, KS. Memorials may be given in his name in care of the funeral chapel.
