Marvin L. Honeycutt, the son of Roy and Evelyn (Young) Honeycutt, was born on January 5, 1948 in Superior, Nebraska. He passed away on December 31, 2012 at the age of 64 years, 11 months, 26 days.
Marvin grew up on the family farm south west of Nelson, in the Highland Community. He attended Country School the first 8 years and graduated from Nelson High School with the class of 1966. Marvin enjoyed working with the farm animals and loved 4-H. While in high school, Marvin got his start in the Newspaper business at the Nelson Gazette .
After High School Marvin was inducted in the US Army in 1967. Marvin made a career as a newspaper pressman. Marvin worked and lived in many places in his lifetime. Among them Florida, Georgia, Colorado, Arizona, Hawaii and California, but Nebraska was always home. He was a country boy at heart.
Marvin never knew a stranger and had many friends all across the United States. The last several years he was in the business of buying, selling and trading antiques and collectables and other oddities. STARVIN MARVIN ENTERPRISES.
Family was important to Marvin and he would spend most of the Spring and Summer months in Nebraska where he called home. He loved to pull pranks on people, especially his friends around the Nelson area. Everybody knew who was driving the old Studebaker truck.
He loved children and his nieces and nephews were very special to him.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, brother Curtis, 2 nieces, Tracy Lynn and Kim Renee, Lammers and brother-in-law Gary McClure.
He leaves to mourn his passing two brothers Gary Honeycutt and wife Lila of Haven, Kansas; Mike Honeycutt and wife Trish of Deweese, Nebraska, Two Sisters Donna Lammers and husband Bob of Red Cloud, Nebraska and Marlys McClure of Nelson, NE, 10 nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Interment with full military rites will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.
