Betty J. DeGraff

Betty June (Wilson) DeGraff, 86, of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee. A native of Concordia, she was the daughter of the late Gerald Francis Wilson and Beatrice (Allen) Wilson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Clifford Arnold DeGraff, an Aunt Francis Josephine Allen, a grandmother and grandfather Cora Alice and Fred (Pie) Allen.

She leaves behind sons, Larry G. DeGraff and his partner Robert Vaughan, Piney Flats, Tennessee and Michael D. DeGraff and his wife, Esther, Sedalia, Missouri; grandchildren, Nathaniel G. DeGraff, Sedalia, Missouri, Clifford R. DeGraff and wife April, Marshall, Missouri, a great granddaughter, Mia Isabella DeGraff and nieces Norma Tabor, Elta Bundy and Karen Mason.

Betty was a member of the Order of Eastern Ophel Chapter 115, Ladies Auxiliary VFW No. 558. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Her husband and his business associates, her sons and their friends were her life's focus. She made sure all were always welcome in her home at anytime. She was always the "hostess with the mostest". She and her husband enjoyed traveling together throughout the world. She will be missed by all that knew her.

A Celebration of Life service for Betty DeGraff will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Monday, January 14, 2013 at The First Baptist Church in Concordia with Pastor David Fabarez officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Concordia. Visitation and family greeting will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Shriner Hospital for Children in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left online at www.chaputbuoy.com.
