Reed King Cole

Reed King Cole, age 90, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Deseret Health and Rehab Center in Smith Center, KS. He was born in Cedar, KS on September 28, 1922 the son of Harry & Goldia (King) Cole. He was a farmer.
Reed was a faithful husband to Marple. They had just celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary. His life was spent farming, raising cattle, riding horses and spending time with family. He always had a story to tell and a song to sing.
He is survived by his wife Marple of Smith Center; a daughter, Bunita Reinhardt of Chanute, KS; 2 sons, Brad Cole of Cedar, KS, Shane Cole of Ozark, MO; sister Mary Barns of Phillipsburg, KS; brother Lavon Cole of Phillipsburg, KS; 7 Grandchildren; 11 Great grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the mortuary.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, January 14, 2013 at the Simmons-Rentschler Mortuary with Pastor Dave Kramer officiating.
Burial will follow in the Cedar Cemetery, Cedar, KS.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be given to the Cedar Cemetery Improvement Fund and can be sent in care of the mortuary.
