Barbara Kay Glaser, age 61 of Pacific Junction, Iowa entered into rest on Feb. 21, 2013 near her home. She was born April 20, 1951 in Superior, Nebraska to Wendell Jack & Donna (Anderson) Gillan.
She attended elementary and high school in Oak, NE and Nelson, NE. She attended two years of undergraduate in York, NE and two years in Kearney, NE where she received her degree. Barbara attained her master's degree from the University of Oklahoma.
Barbara was united in marriage to William F. "Gus" Glaser on March 25, 1978 in Nelson, NE. The couple loved taking care of their dogs and were devoted advocates of the humane society for many years. Barbara was employed as the Director of Programs for Douglas County Corrections for 35 years.
Preceding Barbara in death were her father and one infant sister, Linda Sue. She is survived by her husband, Gus Glaser of Pacific Junction, Iowa; her mother, Donna Gillan of Nelson, Nebraska; sisters, Cheryl Jensen and husband Brent of Oak, Nebraska and Terri Oltmans and husband Jimmie of Nelson, Nebraska along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.
