Keith Eickmann

Keith Eickmann, the son of Charlie and Nora (Rieke) Eickmann, was born on December 5, 1927 in Chester, Nebraska. He passed away on March 5, 2013 at Brodstone Memorial Hospital, Superior, Nebraska at the age of 85 years and 3 months.

Keith received his formal education attending Chester Public School and graduated from Chester High School. After high school, Keith attended Fairbury Junior College. He was inducted into the United States Air Force on April 25, 1946 and was honorably discharged on April 23, 1947, serving during World War II. He returned to Chester and worked as a lineman.

On July 10, 1949 he was united in marriage to Eileen Kuehne at St. John's Lutheran Church, Chester, Nebraska and to this union a daughter was born. They moved to Superior in 1952 and operated Superior Upholstery and later they owned and operated a soft water business called Superior Servisoft. A few years later, Keith started Eickmann Realty and Auction and was a Real Estate Broker. In 1976 he built, owned and operated the Superior Manor until his death.

Keith was active in the Centennial Lutheran Church and was responsible for the radio broadcasting the Sunday morning services for many years and he also sang in the Centennial Quartet.

Keith was a member of the Centennial Lutheran Church, Lions Club, American Legion Club, and the Elks Club. He enjoyed golfing and in his younger days playing baseball during the 30's and 40's.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Glen, Howard, Oland, Wilbur and Fredrick.

He is survived by his wife Eileen of Superior, Nebraska; daughter Margo Williams and husband Robert of Nora, Nebraska; two grandchildren: Scott Williams and wife Jill of Kearney, Nebraska and Steven Williams and wife Haylee of Hebron, Nebraska; three great grandchildren: Caden, Ella Jo and Crosbe; and one sister Arlene Howland of Topeka, Kansas; nieces, nephews, other relatives and host of friends.
