Joann Georgia Eller

Joann Georgia Eller, 75 of Beloit, KS went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 30, 2013. Joann's death was the result of a long battle with cancer. She was born on September 22, 1937 in Gypsum, CO to George and Luella (Kloppel) Eller.
Joann graduated from Beloit High School in 1955. She attended Midland College in Fremont, NE for one year in 1955-56. She worked as a secretary throughout her life in a variety of offices and schools. Most of all, she was the ultimate wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother.
Joann was a devout Christian. She loved the Lord and was involved in many church related activities and boards. As a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Beloit, she served as a Bible School teacher, an organist, a Sunday School teacher and on the church council as secretary. She was also a proud member of the Ladies aid and Women of ELCA.
Joann was a big fan of the Kansas University Jayhawk Basketball team. If you ever saw her watching a game she was never without her "red notebook" where she kept the "unofficial" team stats on every game. Most all, Joann was about family. No matter the gathering or holiday the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were always drawn to her and asking for her sound advice. There was never a gathering without a game of marbles with grandma, and everyone looked forward to the official frosting of the Christmas cookies prior to Christmas Day.
