Phillipsburg Invitational Track Meet

The Trojan track teams traveled to Phillipsburg for the Phillipsburg Invitational track meet held on Thursday, April 19th. This meet saw the Trojans run up against some very tough competition from the likes of Phillipsburg, Norton, Smith Center, Concordia, TMP, and Russell.
The Trojan boy's brought home a total of 23 medals (8 gold, 5 silver, 9 bronze) and finished second with 152 points. Phillipsburg won the meet with 155 points and TMP-Hays was third with 90 points.
The gold medal winners for Beloit were Alex Conn in the 1600m run in 4:36.3, the 800m run in 2:07.22, and the 3200m run in 10:34.97, Austin Budke in the high jump at 6'0" and the triple jump with a new meet record of 44' 8 ¼", Jace Adams in the 300m hurdles in 42.19, Tanner Hulett in the long jump at 19' 11 ½", and Cadyn Carter in the javelin with a new meet record throw of 192' 11".
The silver medal winners were Stanten Krone in the shot put at 47' 9 ½", and the 4X400m relay team of Jace Adams, Payton Vetter, Bailey Vetter, and R.J. Jackson in 3:43.41.
The bronze medal winners were R.J. Jackson in the 400m dash in 54.61 and the 110m high hurdles in 17.41, Boston Wolfe in the 300m hurdles in 43.62, Bryce Black in the shot put at 46' 9 ½", Dylan Heidrick in the discus in the discus at 144' 3", and the 4X100m relay team of Jace Adams, R.J. Jackson, Austin Budke, and Payton Vetter in 45.39.
The Lady Trojans brought home a total of 21 medals (11 gold, 9 silver, 1 bronze) and won the meet scoring a total of 161 points. Concordia was second with 113 points and Phillipsburg was third with 90 points.
Gold medal winners for Beloit were Remi Behrends in the high jump at 5'0", the triple jump at 33' ½", and the 200m dash in 27.47, Kaley Broeckelman in the 100m hurdles in 15.64 and the 300m hurdles in 47.83, Hannah Smith in the javelin at 117'1", Alana Budke in the long jump at 14'9", and the 4X400m relay team of Kaley Broeckelman, Alana Budke, Alexis Budke, and Paige Hafliger in 4:23.57.
The silver medal winners were Hannah Smith in the 100m dash in 13.39, Alana Budke in the 400m dash in 1:06.12, Britt Widrig in the 100m hurdles in 16.45, Kaley Broeckelman in the high jump at 5'0", Madison Hewitt in the pole vault at 9'6", and the 4X100m relay team of Alana Budke, Remi Behrends, Kennedy Brown, and Hannah Smith in 52.71.
The bronze medal winner was Hannah Smith in the 200m dash in 28.35.
The next action for the Beloit Trojan varsity track teams will be the Beloit Relays on Friday, April 26th. Field events will start at 10:00am, preliminaries at 11:00am followed by the 3200m run and the running event finals.
