Helen Seaman, 85, died June 15, 2013. She was born September 28, 1927 to Martin and Gertrude (Renken) Wiersma.
Helen is survived by her husband, Joe, of the home; a daughter, Kathryn (Randy) Dubbert of Downs; two sons, Lon (Brenda) Seaman of Portis, KS and Allen Seaman of Lebanon, KS; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lloyd Wiersma of Wamego, KS, Lee Wiersma of Paola, KS, and Ray Wiersma of Hill City, KS; three sisters, Marlene Heyer of Downs, Donna Stadler of San Diego, CA, and Janice Bowman of North Bend, OR.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Rose Valley United Methodist Church, Downs. There will be a visitation Monday, June 17 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Domoney Funeral Home. A memorial fund has been established to the church. Domoney Funeral Home, 817 Morgan Avenue, Downs, KS is in charge of arrangements.
