YOUR Diabetes Destination Pharmacy of North Central Kansas...YOUR Community Pharmacy.

As your community and diabetes destination pharmacy these are just a few of the key advantage S&S Drug can provide as your diabetic testing supplier versus a mail order pharmacy.
• Face to Face Interaction
Our pharmacists will have the ability to get to know each of our patients and understand their conditions and medications allowing us to provide personalized consultations and expert advice.
• Medication Adherence and Diabetes Consultation
S&S Drug's pharmacists will have the ability to monitor patients' medication treatments to avoid any potential drug interaction issues.
• Educational Services
Beginning in August S&S Drug will pool local resources to offer monthly educational materials, services and classes that help our patients better manage their diabetes.
Choose S&S Drug for your diabetes testing supplies.

NCK Tech Earns National Ranking

NCK Tech, with campuses in Beloit and Hays, was recently ranked the #6 two-year college in the United States by TheBestSchools.org, a leading higher education/career website. The organization's editors, who have extensive experience in teaching, research and publishing at the university level, selected the top two-year colleges based on a comparison of several studies and ratings, each with their own unique selection criteria, as well as the colleges' reputation. While completion/graduation rates are important to any college's success, the organization identified several factors as especially significant to the selection process, including:
•Sustained Achievement Outcomes: Ongoing success in student perseverance and completion of Associate Degrees and/or transfer to four-year colleges;
•Learning Outcomes: Values and practices that actively engage students and require them to stretch academically; explore learning freely; pursue a variety of educational experiences and areas of study;
•Deployment Outcomes: Strong rates of employment, salaries and advancement for graduates matched with workplace skill needs;
•Equitable Outcomes: Policies and practices that result in student diversity and success among low-income students and underrepresented racial/ethnic groups (African American, Hispanic/Latino and Native American); and
•Cost-to-Value Outcomes: Reasonable tuition costs, access to financial aid resources and an emphasis on minimizing post-school debt.
The full listing of selected institutions, as well as further information on The BestSchools organization, may be found at: http://www.thebestschools.org/rankings/.

Adopt a Classroom

The Beloit Business Committee (BBC) would like to begin a program in August that allows Beloit area businesses to "adopt" an elementary classroom at BES or St. Johns. The BBC will work with the area businesses to match a business with a classroom. The teachers are making their "needs list" of 10-12 items that can purchased locally and will be turning them in August 1st. With budget cuts, the hope is to help each teacher and classroom fill a void. Now we need your help to "adopt" an elementary classroom to fill the lists. For more information you can contact the Chamber at 738-2717 or Janet Remus, Super 8, at 738-8592.
