Cross Country Results - Hesston (Swather Invitational)

Beloit Cross-country traveled to Hesston yesterday to compete in the Swather Invitations. A total of 52 teams and over 600 runners from the state competed in this rather unique meet where the runners only race other athletes in their respective age groups. Two divisions make up the races, 1A through 3A then 4A through 6A. Most of the runners came back with stellar times from the flat and fast course. The top twenty runners in each age group race received medals.

In the girls freshman race for Beloit:
Sammi Loomis placed 26th
Briana Kohler 27th
Brooke Abram 29th
Erica Fairchild 30th.

The girls sophomore race saw two individual medalists:
Michaela Pingel 15th and Erin Kelley 19th
Other runners included Madison Wolfe 30th and Audrey Finney 41st.

In the girls Junior Race:
Savanna Cox was the only Beloit runner and was the 14th place medalist.

The Boys Freshman race:
Brendon Mason was the 10th place medalist
Taylor Travis finished 26th
Gannon Graulholz 40th

Sophmore Boys race:
Anthony Nunez finished in 4th place
Logan Mong 10th place
Dustin Williams 21st

Senior Boys Race:
Alex Conn gets the 2nd place medal with a new school record of 15:52.

Next action for the Beloit Trojans will be at the Smith Center Invitational on the 19th starting at 4:00
