Cross Country Results - Republic County Invitational

The Beloit Junior High and High School Cross Country teams traveled to the Republic County Invitational yesterday where a total of eleven schools competed for top honors.

In the Girls Junior High Race. Kylie Mihm was the individual medalist coming in 9th place. Other Beloit girls included Emma Easter in 13th, Lacy Elsen 14th and Atlanta Haller with a 17th place finish.

The Boys Junior High team was led by Tristen Brummer with a 3rd place medal, Chance Kopsa earning a 6th place medal, and Calvin Duden who came in 29th place for the Trojans.

The Trojan Girls team finished in 5th place led by Michaela Pingel who finished as a medalists in 18th and Savanna Cox with a 20th place medal finish. Other Lady Trojan competitors included: Erin Kelley 22nd, sami Loomis 25th, Madison Wolfe 29th, Erica Fairchild 30th and Brianna Kohler 36th.

The Girls JV was led by Amber Robinson who placed first in the race with a time of 21:45. Individual medalist Brooke Abram received a 5th place medal and shae johnson finished in 12th place.

The boys varsity team finished in 4th place, behind Clay Center, Wakefield and Republic County. The boys were led by Alex Conn who won the gold in a time of 16:36. Other Trojans included: Anthony Nunez 26th, Trent Allen 32nd, Brendon Mason 36th, Logan Mong 44nd and Taylor Travis in 49th.

The boys JV race had six Trojan competitors. Dustin Williams led the team with a 13th place finish, Brady Budke 16th, Gannon Grauerholz 24th, KC Swisher 27th, corey True 32nd, and Jesse Vetter with a 36th place finish.

The next action for the Trojans will be next Thursday when they host their own Invitational. Races start with the Junior High at 4:00 at the Beloit Country Club course.
