Cross Country Results - Ellsworth Invitational

The Beloit Junior high and High School Cross-country teams travelled to Ellsworth on Tuesday to compete at the Ellsworth Invitational where a total of eleven schools competed in six races. The first race of the afternoon included the 7th grade girls and boys one mile race. For Beloit, Kylie Mihm placed 9th, Atlanta Haller 12th and Emma Easter 15th of the twenty-five girls participating. In the boys division, Tristen Brummer won the gold in a time of 6:00. Chance Kopsa earned the third place medal in 6:05 and Calvin Duden placed 12th.
Lacy Elsen placed 10th place for Beloit in the 8th grade girls two mile run which followed.

The lady Trojans placed 6th as a team in the varsity girls race. Behind Smoky Valley, Hesston, Abilene, Minneapolis and meet champion, Goodland. Michaela Pingel led the Trojans with a 13th place medal performance followed by Erin Kelley in 18th, Savanna Cox 20th, Sami Loomis 30th, Amber Robinson 34th, Madison Wolfe 36th and Erica Fairchild 37th.

In the boys Varsity race, the Trojans finished in 4th place behind Goodland, Abilene and champion Hesston. The boys were led by Alex Conn with a gold medal performance in 1709. Other Trojan boys included Anthony Nunez 19th, Trent Allen 21st, Brendon Mason 38th, Logan Mong 41st, Taylor Travis 51st and Brady Budke in 57th.

The girls JV race included Brooke Abram with a 4th place medal performance followed by Brianna Kohler with a 5th place medal. Shae Johnson finished in 10th place earning herself a medal.

The boys JV race had Gannon Grauerholz in 15th place followed by Dustin Williams in 20th, KC Swisher 24th and Jesse Vetter 29th.

Next action for Beloit will be a week from Thursday as they travel to the Lakeside Invitational. The Beloit Junior High runners concluded their successful season while running at the Ellsworth Invitational.
