Becky L. Blecha

Becky L. Blecha, the daughter of Forrest Kennedy and Viola (Delay) Kennedy was born February 6, 1939 at Haddam, KS and passed away on December 1, 2013 at Republic County-Long Term Care, Belleville, KS at the age of 74 years, 9 months, and 25 days.
Becky grew up and attended school in Haddam in her early years and then moved with her family to Wichita where she completed her education at West High School.
On March 31, 1956, she was united in marriage to Robert B. Blecha and to this union was born: Donald, Ricky, and Pamela. The couple made their home in Wichita where they owned and operated a Vickers Service Station at 21st and Maze Rd. She also was a homemaker. In 1987, Bob and Becky retired and moved back to Haddam.
Becky was active in many community activities in Haddam for many years.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert B. Blecha in 2001, an infant daughter: Pamela, two brothers, and two sisters.
She is survived by two sons: Don (Rita) Blecha of Mulvane, KS and Rick Blecha of Wichita, KS; three grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, three sisters:
Gertie Ryser of Cheyenne Wells, CO, Garnett Rhine of Washington, KS and Kay Burlson of El Paso, TX; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at the
United Methodist Church, Haddam, KS, with Pastor Randy Jellison-Knock, officiating.
Interment will be at the Hawks Cemetery, rural Cuba, KS.
Memorials are suggested to the Haddam Café.
Visitation will be from One PM until Nine PM on Thursday, and from Nine AM until Nine PM on Friday at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home where the family will receive friends 5 PM until 7 PM on Friday.
