H&R BLOCK QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Q: What type of tax returns does H&R Block prepare?
A: Any type the IRS accepts. Seriously, H&R Block prepares every type of return - business returns for sole proprietorships, LLCs, trusts, partnerships and corporations, farm returns and individual returns. A: H&R Block has a full suite of business services ranging from payroll support, bookkeeping to business consultation. "We have clients who look for advice on tax implications of different entity structures," said Robert Davis, franchise co-owner. "Additionally, we provide financial analytics to help businesses better understand their operations and increase profitability."
During tax season, a $20 discount will be offered to new clients that have not previously had their tax return prepared by H&R Block and are Chamber of Commerce members.

Weekly Public Record Bulletin
The Law Office of Katie J. Cheney provides weekly public record bulletins to several Beloit businesses and banks. Each bulletin, which is emailed every Wednesday, includes information from the Register of Deeds such as mortgages, deeds, mortgage releases, and other filings. Each bulletin also includes notification of the filing of each civil, probate, and criminal case in Mitchell County as well as each payment made toward a criminal case debt.

Ribbon Cutting/Grand Opening
A ribbon cutting for Hopeful Beginnings, 113 E Main St., will take place at 4:00pm on Thursday, February 6th. Plan to stop for the ribbon cutting and stay for the open house! Open house will be from 4pm-5:30pm. Please welcome Lyda to the Chamber!

Farm Home & Garden Show
Has your business signed up for the 2014 Beloit Farm, Home & Garden Show? You still have time to take advantage of this great opportunity to showcase your business. Applications are available. The show will take place April 4th-5th at the Mitchell County Fairgrounds. Relay for Life...Tennis Shoe Tuesday!
Join Mitchell Co. & Osborne Co. Relay for Life in the fight against cancer by wearing tennis shoes with purple laces on TENNIS SHOE TUESDAY - February 4th.
$2.00 purple laces available at: Central National Bank (Glen Elder & Beloit), Cunningham Telephone & Cable (Beloit), Tipton Grocery Store and Mitchell County Hospital.
St. John's-Tipton and Beloit Basketball teams will also be wearing purple laces that same day!
All proceeds will go towards American Cancer Society.
44th Annual Beloit Wrestling Invitational
The Beloit Trojans will host their 44th Annual Beloit Invitational Wrestling tournament starting Friday, January 24th with a 2pm start. Saturday, January 25th will start at 10am.
Teams competing will be Abilene, Beloit, Blue Valley Southwest, Chanute, Clay Center, Colby, Desoto, Hill City, Hoxie, Lincoln, Marysville, Minneapolis, Oberlin, Osborne, Plainville, Republic County, Salina South, Silver Lake, Smith Center and Stockton.
There will be a tremendous amount of people coming to our community from all over the state. Let's make them feel welcome and be prepared for a busy weekend!
