NCK Tech to Host CTE Month Luncheon
February is National Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month and, in recognition of the designation, NCK Tech will host a CTE Month Luncheon, to be held on Wednesday, February 26th on the NCK Tech Beloit campus, Student Union Conference Room, at 12 pm. During the event, Eric Burks, NCK Tech President, and Jeff Bates, USD 273 Beloit High Business Teacher/Career and Technical Education Coordinator, will answer questions about CTE, share details on the CTE program offerings at NCK Tech and Beloit High School and highlight their collaborative efforts. In addition, information on the training opportunities for local business and industry will be provided. Across the country, CTE is making a powerful difference. Mitchell County Clerk's Office
The Mitchell County Clerk's Office will be hosting the North Central Kansas County Clerk's Association Spring Meeting in Beloit on March 20th. The office is requesting if some of our local businesses would donate a gift, gift certificate, or coupon for percentages off merchandise to give to these hard working Clerks as an example of our local cooperation and "can-do" attitude as a community. At many of their meetings they receive these incentives from local businesses and the Clerks spend time looking and shopping at these locations.
If you would like to donate any item for this special event in our community, The Clerk's Office would be more than willing to pick it up. They will make certain that if you donate a gift item that you will be given credit for your donation. Contact Chris Treaster, Mitchell County Clerk, for more information.

Farm Home & Garden Show
Has your business signed up for the 2014 Beloit Farm, Home & Garden Show? You still have time to take advantage of this great opportunity to showcase your business. Applications are available. The show will take place April 4th-5th at the Mitchell County Fairgrounds. If you were not a vendor last year and would like to become one this year, contact the Chamber office at 738-2717 or by email at beloitchamber@nckcn.com and one will be sent to you. We look for this show to grow so send in your applications early. The applications are attached.
New Digital Marketing Program at NCK Tech!
NCK Tech is pleased to announce a new program offering, beginning in the Fall 2014 semester! The New Digital Marketing Program prepares students for a career in the fast-paced, ever-changing landscape of social and digital media. Upon completion students will be able to efficiently run several digital media platforms, create digital media marketing plans and analyze the success of each plan. Students receive training in marketing, social media applications, web development, privacy and security issues, ethics, and trends. The second year student will gain practical experience in creating and executing social media campaigns. Students have the option of earning a one-year certificate or an Associate of Applied Science degree after successfully completing the program.
