Norman Daniel Tholstrup, 76, of rural Concordia, KS, passed away Wed., May 27, 2015 peacefully at his home following a long illness. He was born to Daniel & Stella (Budreau) Tholstrup on June 9, 1938 at his parents' home in Arion Township, Cloud County, KS.
Norman graduated from Concordia High School in 1956. He was longtime farmer and rancher beginning in 1958. Norman married Mary Margaret Hebert on April 28, 1962 in Concordia, KS.
He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Catholic Church, Concordia.
Norman and Mary Margaret shared 53 years together. Grateful for having shared his life are sons; Michael Tholstrup (Connie), Concordia, KS.; Gregory Tholstrup, Wichita, KS & Jon Tholstrup (Carrie), Bison, KS; a daughter, Angela Eltze (Michael), Cedar Rapids, IA.; 9 grandchildren, Jordan Tholstrup, Brandy Tholstrup, Blaine Tholstrup, Gabrielle Tholstrup, Matthew Eltze, Geoffrey Tholstrup, Samantha Eltze, Emma Eltze & Clare Tholstrup & 2 sisters, Roberta Link (Vincent), Aurora, KS.; Carol McCreary (Patrick), Tonganoxie, KS. Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Mon., June 1, 2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Rev. Brian Lager officiating. Cremation will follow the services and the family will have a private burial at a later date. Visitation will be from 12-8 pm with a Vigil service at 6 pm and the family greeting friends following the vigil services, all on Sun., May 31, 2015 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
